Sanctuary Cities

The term "Sanctuary City" is a broad term applied to jurisdictions that have policies in place designed to limit cooperation with or involvement in Federal immigration enforcement actions.  Cities, counties and some states have a range of informal policies as well as actual laws that qualify as "Sanctuary" positions.  While the exact specifications can vary, sanctuary city policies overall limit how effectively local law enforcement officials can comply with federal immigration authorities. I do not support any action or policy which does not protect the rights of its own citizens. Protecting illegal immigrants who have committed a crime is an affront to its citizens and all the legal immigrants, who followed the law of our state and country.
